The Conversation Between Today’s Reality and Tomorrow’s Possibilities

I’m excited to be part of the SESHSMD (Southeast Society for Healthcare Strategists and Market Development) conference this November, where I’ll be offering a new pre-conference format: a 90-minute interactive session titled “Re-Strategizing the Strategist’s Role in a World of AI.”

The session will give strategists at all levels an opportunity to step outside the day-to-day and explore how their roles may need to evolve as AI becomes increasingly embedded in how we work, make decisions, and create value.

But this conversation extends well beyond the strategist’s role.

There isn’t a day that goes by without another headline, prediction, or opinion about AI and what it will mean for organizations, people, jobs, and processes.

Jobs will be lost. Jobs will be created.

Work will become faster. Human judgment will become more important.

AI will unlock extraordinary possibilities. The ROI is still uncertain.

We need to move quickly. We need to proceed thoughtfully.

Sound familiar?

These are conversations worth having before the answers seem obvious.

Because the challenge for organizations isn’t simply adopting AI—or responding to any major disruption. It is developing the capacity to recognize what is changing, question assumptions about how work gets done today, and make thoughtful choices about what needs to evolve next.

And this is exactly the work I bring to organizations.

Through interactive strategic facilitation, I create the space for teams and leaders to examine the assumptions they hold about how they work today; identify the signals and future scenarios worth paying attention to; explore where human wisdom, judgment, and talent create the greatest value; and determine which roles, relationships, and processes may need to change.

The goal isn’t to predict the future.

It is to help organizations become better prepared to recognize it, make sense of it, and respond intentionally as it unfolds.

If this sounds like a conversation your organization or team needs to be having, please DM me. I’d be happy to explore what that conversation could look like.
